Pitt Secures Commitment from 3-Star CB Kayden Battle

Pitt continues to stack talent from Georgia in the 2027 cycle by securing a commitment from McEachern cornerback Kayden Battle on his official visit. The three-star prospect stands 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, ranked No. 123 among corners in the class, and chose Pitt after an official visit that followed a prior look at Michigan State. Battle held offers from Miami, Kentucky, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Florida State, Duke, North Carolina, UCF and others, illustrating the Panthers' growing reach in the Peach State. Pitt offered Battle in September 2025, and cornerbacks coach Archie Collins has been involved, visiting Battle in May.

Battle's pledge comes as Pitt has surged in Georgia, adding six Peach State prospects alongside him: four-star tight end Max Patterson, four-star linebacker Jeremiah Proctor, three-star corner Omarion Wallace, three-star offensive tackle Carter Mathis and three-star interior lineman Noah Nixon. In his junior season at McEachern, Battle logged 13 tackles, 11 passes defended, two interceptions and a tackle for loss as the program went 10-1. The commitment underscores Pitt's ongoing strategy to mine Georgia for depth and talent ahead of the 2027 class, continuing the Panthers' steady recruiting presence in the region.
