Positions of need remaining for Michigan Football's 2027 recruiting class

Michigan’s 2027 recruiting class is already taking shape, but the program still has a few clear areas to address before the December early signing period. The focus is on three remaining needs. At wide receiver, four-star Quentin Burrell is the only committed prospect, and Michigan could benefit from adding at least one—ideally two—more receivers. On defense, Michigan has promising edge rushers, but a sizable gap remains on the interior front; Trey Pierce and Enow Etta could pursue the NFL, making an interior defensive line target, like a true nose tackle, more urgent. In the secondary, turnover risk is rising as several starters age out, so replenishing safety depth is key.
