PREP BOYS SOCCER: Goshen falls to Warsaw in PKs, denied share of NLC title

Goshen and Warsaw turned Thursday’s Northern Lakes Conference match into a penalty-kick showdown, with Warsaw earning the win and denying Goshen a share of the NLC title. The RedHawks and Tigers finished 4-4 after five kicks, then reached sudden death, where Goshen defender Manuel Pizana had his attempt saved and Warsaw midfielder Jonah Campbell beat Trenton Clark to decide it. Warsaw won 1(5)-1(4). Goshen struck first in the 32nd minute through Junior Lopez, but Trenton Clark’s momentary scramble in the next minute helped preserve the lead. Goshen fell to 12-2 overall and 5-2 in conference.
