Right on time, Reese St. Clair plays hero vs. Claymont football

UHRICHSVILLE—With an Inter-Valley Conference-South Division title and an undefeated regular season on the line, Claymont attempted to go for the win in a Week 10 showdown against Indian Valley. After Jackson Jinks caught a 9-yard TD with 1:11 left to cut the Braves’ lead to one point, Mustangs coach Buddy White called timeout and chose a two-point power run. Reese St. Clair burst through from the secondary, but was stopped just short as Dre’Vonn Searcy hit the pile; Indian Valley recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock to win 7-6. White said he preferred winning now to risking overtime, citing both injury concerns and officials’ call.
