Sardar Azmoun expresses no bitterness over World Cup omission

Iran striker Sardar Azmoun has returned to the national team after a politically charged four-month exile. He was recalled on September 21 for friendlies against Uzbekistan on September 25 and Russia on September 30. The episode followed a March Instagram post in which Azmoun appeared alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of the UAE.
