Shenandoah hosts Hampden-Sydney in ODAC opener

Shenandoah will open ODAC play at home on Saturday, hosting Hampden-Sydney at 1 p.m. after starting the season 2-1. The Hornets are coming off a bye week following a 48-41 loss to Case Western Reserve on Sept. 19, a game in which they fell behind 27-0 early and never took the lead. Hampden-Sydney also enters off a bye and is 2-1. The Tigers beat Shenandoah 42-7 last season and have won the past five meetings, including a matchup where they outgained the Hornets 566-167. Coach Scott Yoder said Shenandoah must avoid starting slowly again.
