Reuters reports that near Dallas Stadium in Arlington, the Dallas/Arlington KOA Holiday has seen a surge in demand, with nearly all 159 RV sites occupied for several high-profile matches during the June 25 tournament period. General manager Nona Gomez said the England game was especially busy and that for Argentina and Austria there were only 24 sites left, with walk-ins also arriving. Fans from Argentina, Germany and England cited high costs for both tickets and lodging; one traveller, Santiago Meneses, said World Cup expenses were at least 50% lower in previous editions. The park also helps avoid expensive post-match ride-share fares thanks to a short drive to the stadium. While some discomforts were noted, supporters described the campground as more social, and German fan Leroy Behrens said rising prices risk excluding many fans.
