Soccer unveils $200M training center before World Cup

The Arthur M. Blank National Training Center opens as the United States intensifies preparation for the World Cup. Located 20 miles south of Atlanta in Fayette County, the $200 million complex covers 123 acres and opened May 7, hosting its first U.S. men's national team session this week. The facility features 19 playing surfaces—17 outdoors and two indoor—with indoor spaces totaling about 200,000 square feet and the Nike High Performance Gym at 10,000 square feet. Other amenities include a recovery area, 20 locker rooms, and 19 meeting rooms, all designed to support more than 350 staff and all 27 national teams. Outside, more than 21,000 plants were planted in fall 2025 to blend the site with Atlanta's 'City in a Forest' branding.

Blanks and U.S. Soccer say the complex marks a milestone in domestic development as the country hosts the World Cup with Canada and Mexico from June 10 to July 19. Players such as Tim Weah, Tyler Adams, and Weston McKinnie praised the facility for its state-of-the-art design and potential impact on player development. With Nike's 10,000-square-foot gym and extensive training spaces, the center is designed to support all levels of national-team programs while inspiring the next generation. This center anchors a broader effort to elevate U.S. soccer infrastructure and performance on the world stage.
