Swindon man sentenced after running around naked at petrol station

A 36-year-old man from Swindon, Vlad Pomohaci, has been sentenced after running around naked at a petrol station while under the influence of cocaine. Pomohaci returned to Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 26, after earlier guilty pleas to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance in February, and later to driving with a controlled drug above the legal limit and outraging public decency. The incident occurred around 1am on January 31, 2026, at the Kingshill Road petrol station, then owned by Texaco. CCTV and a witness account described him shouting, dragging pallets to his Land Rover Discovery, and repeatedly exposing himself despite trying to cover himself. He was banned from driving in June 2025. He received a four-year driving ban, 200 hours of unpaid work within 12 months, a £241 fine, £85 costs, and £156 for victim services; a 16-week prison term was suspended for 12 months. The court also noted he is a director of Mobile Mechanic Swindon Ltd.
