xCruzo Brief
Switzerland’s annual inflation eased to 0.4% in July, down from 0.5% in June and in line with analysts’ expectations, according to official data. The Federal Statistical Office said Swiss consumer prices were 0.4% higher than in July 2025. On a month-on-month basis, prices fell 0.1%, also matching a Reuters poll forecast. The decline was supported by cheaper petroleum products, which dropped 0.7% versus June. Clothing and footwear costs decreased due to seasonal sales, while heating oil rose. Year-on-year, petroleum product prices were still up 13.6%, linked to conflict-related pressures in the Middle East.
