Terrion Arnold Makes Potentially Multi-Million Decision While in Jail: Report
Terrion Arnold’s next legal milestone could reshape both his NFL future and his finances, with a Florida pre-trial hearing scheduled for Monday, June 29. The Detroit Lions cornerback faces four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping, and prosecutors are expected to argue he should remain in custody through trial. A conviction could carry life imprisonment, while even an eventual acquittal would not necessarily protect his earnings if bond is refused. Arnold, 23, retained high-powered attorney Harvey Steinberg, known for representing professional athletes in legal matters, including former clients John Elway and Jerry Jeudy. Drafted in 2024, Arnold signed a four-year rookie contract worth more than $14.3 million through 2027, including a $7.251 million signing bonus. If he is unavailable for the next two seasons, the Lions could recover half the bonus, $3.6255 million, and his game availability could also affect his weekly paychecks after Detroit’s Sept. 13 home opener versus the New Orleans Saints.
