The NFL Playoff Simulator is back! Here's how you can use it
The NFL Playoff Simulator is back for the 2026 season, updated with improvements to its projection model and interactive features. Powered by “my NFL Projection Model,” the tool lets users simulate the entire schedule at any point and see how chosen outcomes change a team’s playoff chances, division and conference odds, Super Bowl likelihood, and even effects from winning or losing streaks. It also estimates draft positioning—such as top-10 pick probabilities. In the simulator’s baseline scenario, the Los Angeles Rams are forecast as Super Bowl favorites; they win 18% of roughly 100,000 simulations, with the Buffalo Bills next at 10%. Even if the Rams start 1-4, they remain playoff-leaning in most scenarios, depending on inputs like injuries.
