The price of Trump's Iran conflict keeps climbing

The Defense Department is seeking about $80 billion to cover Iran-related costs and other non-war bills, Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg told lawmakers this week, according to a Wall Street Journal report. A broader supplemental request, including funding for the Pentagon and non-defense priorities such as farm and disaster relief, could follow soon, people familiar with the matter said. The White House and the Pentagon did not comment after business hours.
