Three Things to Know about the Cleveland Offense ahead of the Saints-Browns Game
The New Orleans Saints return to the Superdome on Sunday to face the AFC’s Cleveland Browns in the first of two straight home games. Kickoff is set for noon. For Cleveland’s offense, the biggest change is at quarterback: Deshaun Watson is out and placed in concussion protocol after dizziness earlier this week. That removes 1,800+ passing yards from the Browns’ offense; Watson has thrown 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions and been sacked 33 times. In his place, Shedeur Sanders steps in, having posted 1,400 yards and seven passing TDs across seven starts last year. Second, the Saints will see a productive tight end: Harold Fannin Jr leads with 35 catches for 411 yards and three TDs. Finally, Cleveland’s rushing has slipped, with 101 carries for 342 yards and three TDs from Quinshon Judkins, while line changes haven’t translated to better pass protection or red-zone efficiency.
