UFL announces homes of two relocated franchises for 2027 season

The UFL is reshaping its footprint ahead of the 2027 season, relocating two franchises to new markets: Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In 2028, the league plans to add a team in Utah. The new 2027 franchises replace the Birmingham Stallions and Houston Gamblers, which had been slated for relocation after the league announced moves for July 30. The UFL did not immediately specify which current teams would map to each city, nor whether personnel and players will be retained. The league says the strategy under owner Mike Repole emphasizes smaller stadiums to support sellouts and improved partner broadcasts on Fox and ESPN.
