USA TODAY Sports Super 15 Southwest region football rankings, Week 2

USA TODAY Sports released its Super 15 rankings for the Southwest region for Week 2 of the 2026 high school football season, with Texas and Oklahoma starting play after most of the rest of the region opened last week. Because fewer teams played in the Southwest during the first slate, the top 15 saw limited movement. Waxahachie tops the list at No. 1 after a 12-2 2025 run, with a Week 2 trip to Ennis on Friday, Aug. 28. Duncanville (No. 2) and Southlake Carroll (No. 3) follow, while DeSoto (No. 4) enters defending UIL Class 6A Division II champion status and faces a tough opener at St. Thomas Aquinas on Aug. 29. The rankings continue with Bixby, North Shore, and others.
