Vermont Green FC Men's Soccer cruises to USL2 Playoff Victory

Vermont Green FC opened its 2026 USL2 playoff campaign with a decisive national-title defense statement, defeating Ironbound Soccer Club 4-0 in a Round of 32 match. The Green scored through a three-goal first half and added another in the second, routing the opponent in their first playoff game of the summer. Midfielder Connor Miller said the early start set the tone under pressure, as Vermont seized a 3-0 lead before halftime. Jeremy Francou scored first with a header after a pass from Diego Rosas, and Miller followed with two more contributions, including the second goal after a run created by Ryan Zellefrow. A goal by David Ajagbe in the second half completed the 4-0 win. Next, Vermont Green will face Ocean City Nor’easters, who beat FC Motown 2-0 earlier on Friday, July 17. The Eastern Conference semifinal kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at Virtue Field.
