VMware migration reduces Tottenham Hotspur's licensing fees by 85 percent

Tottenham Hotspur says it cut its stadium virtualization licensing costs by “north of 85 percent” after replacing its VMware instance with Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) Morpheus VM Essentials (VME). The Premier League club did not specify which VMware products it previously used or what it paid Broadcom. Tottenham confirmed it has moved stadium server, storage and networking to HPE solutions delivered via HPE GreenLake, HPE’s hybrid cloud management platform. The effort is underpinned by VME and HPE OpsRamp for hybrid and multi-cloud management, with HPE running the hybrid cloud-managed service. The club is nearing completion of a broader data-center and network redesign at the ground.
