Washington basketball hosting four-star 2027 wing on official visit
The Washington Huskies hosted four-star 2027 wing Howard Williams on an official visit as head coach Danny Sprinkle seeks to bolster the roster from the high school ranks. Williams stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 205 pounds, and he played his junior season at Dynamic Prep in Dallas, Texas. He is ranked No. 59 nationally in the 2027 class and No. 15 at his position, with six other offers on the table. Williams’ path includes stops at Whitney Young in Chicago and Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, followed by Dynamic Prep and a stint with the City Reapers in Overtime Elite, drawing interest from California, Florida State, Illinois, Mississippi State, and South Carolina. Washington added just one high school prospect in the 2026 class, Mount Si's Lattimore Ford, leaving Williams as a potential bridge to replenishing talent amid a transfer portal exodus headlined by Zoom Diallo and JJ Mandaquit transferring to Kentucky and Arizona. Sprinkle and the Huskies are prioritizing top prep talent after visiting five-star guards Jalen Davis and five-star center Darius Wabbington in the fall. Williams’ official visit underscores Washington’s goal of rebuilding depth and star power from the prep ranks as part of a broader roster renewal.
