Which Penn State football players should return from injury vs Temple?

Penn State is targeting the return of senior tight end Gabe Burkle when the team hosts Temple on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field. Coach Matt Campbell said Tuesday, Sept. 8 that Burkle is expected back after recovering from an ACL injury that caused him to miss Penn State’s season-opening shutout of Marshall in Beaver Stadium. Campbell described Burkle as the nation’s top blocking tight end, and his return would strengthen Penn State’s tight-end group alongside co-starters Ben Brahmer and Andrew Rappleyea. Burkle caught 52 passes over two seasons at Iowa State. Also expected to see first action are linebacker Alex Tatsch, defensive tackle Armstrong Nnodim and offensive lineman Owen Aliciene. Penn State’s defense held Marshall under 200 total yards in the opener.
