Who made the all-time rosters for 23 teams with multiple Super Bowls?
NFL Nation, ESPN’s team of 32 reporter-covering each franchise year-round, has produced “all-time Super Bowl rosters” for 23 clubs that have played in multiple Super Bowls. The project builds lineups by prioritizing Super Bowl success in the games those franchises reached, even if careers outside that run were less dominant. ESPN notes the difficulty of matching eras, rules, and schemes across decades. One highlighted example: Dallas corner Larry Brown was chosen over Deion Sanders because Brown intercepted two passes in Super Bowl XXX and was named MVP. Across 23 rosters, 13 players were repeated across two franchises’ lineups, including Patriots holdovers Tom Brady (Buccaneers), Adam Vinatieri (Colts), Joe Thuney (Chiefs) and Rob Gronkowski (Buccaneers).
