Why Richard Sherman believes 49ers' DeForest Buckner trade was an 'absolute steal'

Richard Sherman called the San Francisco 49ers’ acquisition of DeForest Buckner an “absolute steal,” praising the move after the Indianapolis Colts traded the veteran defensive tackle for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. Buckner is returning to San Francisco after his original stint began there, when the 49ers drafted him seventh overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons in San Francisco before moving to Indianapolis in March 2020. Sherman said the trade brings an experienced presence to the middle of the defensive line and noted Buckner’s production this season, including 31 tackles and four sacks in seven starts. The 49ers, who are 6–1 and competing for the NFC West, host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
