Worst Fan Base in Sports' -- Ex-NFL DT Chews Out Deion Sanders 'Cult' for 'Nasty Agendas' As Browns Bench Shedeur Sanders
Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken named Deshaun Watson as the Week 1 starter for the Sept. 13 opener against Jacksonville, and the decision immediately drew fire from former NFL defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko. After Watson was picked over Shedeur Sanders, Fehoko criticized Sanders’ fan base on X, arguing that supporters’ “nasty” agendas have made objective discussion difficult. He specifically targeted what he called the “Deion cult,” suggesting some fans attack anyone who offers criticism of the Colorado quarterback. Fehoko said he still hopes Sanders succeeds in Cleveland, but he wants evaluations focused on development rather than loyalty-driven pressure. In preseason, Watson went 5-of-12 for 36 yards with an interception while Sanders was 9-of-11 for 74 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
