Worst search of all time' - Fans have their say after Russell Wilson interviews to be a CFB head coach

Russell Wilson is being discussed as a top candidate for an NCAA head-coaching job at NC State despite never having coached football at any level. The Super Bowl-winning former quarterback—who played at NC State from 2008 to 2010—interviewed for the vacant position, joining another former Wolfpack QB, Phillip Rivers, in the race, according to Adam Schefter. Wilson’s post-NFL media profile has made him a prominent name, but the lack of coaching experience has triggered backlash from fans who say the search isn’t being taken seriously. NC State fired coach Dave Doeren after an 0-4 stretch that started with a 3–4 start and resulted in the move on October 24. Wilson has no formal coaching background.
