Amazon AI Boom: Analysts See AWS, AI Agents Driving Bigger Growth - Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN)
Amazon shares climbed more than 1% Wednesday as analysts pointed to AI-driven commerce as a growth tailwind, not a threat, to the company’s business model. Amazon is expanding AI across AWS, e-commerce, advertising and Prime, and multiple broker notes focused on how “agentic” shopping could reshape revenue streams. Rosenblatt analyst Scott Devitt said Amazon can adapt advertising—potentially shifting from cost-per-click toward cost-per-action—so it can monetize transactions even when AI agents complete purchases. Tigress analyst Ivan Feinseth highlighted an AI “flywheel” strengthening AWS, advertising and Prime engagement, while TD Cowen’s John Blackledge noted AWS revenue momentum and a roughly $25 billion annual run rate for the AI business.
