Amazon Dumps the MacBook Air (M5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) Before Prime Day, 1TB Models Marked Down Too

Amazon is cutting the price of Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, because Apple isn’t discounting the new model itself. The configuration shown—16GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD in Midnight—drops from $1,299 to $1,099 on Amazon, with the price displayed for shoppers regardless of Prime membership. Amazon also marks down two 1TB options: $1,399 from $1,599 for the 16GB model, and $1,599 from $1,799 for a 24GB configuration. Apple rates the battery at “up to” 18 hours, and the laptop includes Wi‑Fi 7 via an N1 chip.
