xCruzo Brief
Advanced Micro Devices crossed the $1 trillion market-cap mark for the first time as investors bet on sustained artificial intelligence computing demand. On Sept. 21, AMD shares jumped as much as 9.6% to a record $613.31, pushing the Santa Clara, California-based chipmaker above the threshold. AMD became the fourth U.S. semiconductor company to reach $1 trillion, following Nvidia, Broadcom and Micron. The move capped a sharp rally: Reuters reported the stock was up about 185% in 2026, outperforming the Nasdaq’s 15.8% gain.
