Apple Launches Bright Power Pink Beats USB-C Cables For Color-Matched Tech
Apple’s Beats brand has introduced “Power Pink” USB-C cables designed to match color-accented tech. The article says Beats, Apple’s second brand, released three new cables in a pink shade it calls “impossible to ignore,” while Apple’s own cables remain in white. Available through Apple online and Apple Stores, the cables come as 5ft (1.5 meter) USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A for $18.99 (£18.99 in the U.K.) and a 10ft (3 meter) version for $29.99 (£29.99). It notes that existing Beats cables are woven for durability and longevity, a factor relevant because USB-C is used for charging devices such as AirPods, phones, cameras, tablets, and laptops. The piece also links the pink strategy to recent Beats headphone color promotions, including prior releases in pink. Competitor references include Nomad’s USB4 data cable using Kevlar for strength.
