Apple's iPhone 18 goes on sale as customers line up at stores worldwide
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are on sale Friday as customers lined up at stores worldwide, including a visit by CEO John Ternus at the company’s flagship Fifth Avenue location in New York. The foldable iPhone Duo was unveiled last week alongside the iPhone 18 lineup. Pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the Pro Max at $1,299, with lease options available through Apple Upgrade, while the foldable Duo is described as reaching prices up to $3,000 depending on storage. Camera upgrades include a DSLR-like aperture for improved low-light performance. Apple also says iPhone 18 will detect AI-generated photos using an unalterable Reference Image, and introduces “Siri AI,” powered by Google Gemini, with message drafting and deeper access to user content.
