Binance CEO says 90 percent of stolen assets have been 'replenished'
xCruzo Brief
Binance says most of the $6.3 billion stolen from its users in a record crypto heist has been restored. In comments attributed to the exchange’s CEO, about 90% of the funds have been replenished, with Binance planning to cover the remaining 10% as well. The company says the leftover portion involves “less liquid” tokens, which may take longer to acquire. Binance is covering the theft directly, and it continues to keep crypto withdrawals paused. However, the exchange says withdrawals are on track to be enabled on Sunday, following the restoration process.
