Binance Replenishes 98% of $6.34B Hack Losses, Expands Proof of Reserves to 44 Tokens

Binance says it has replenished about 98% of the assets stolen in its $6.34 billion hack, up from an earlier 95% figure. The exchange attributed the remaining 2% to lower liquidity, saying it will keep purchasing the assets through both public markets and OTC channels, while also gradually reinstating withdrawals under tighter security. Binance also expanded its Proof of Reserves snapshot from 10 tokens to 44 in a new check posted on Nov. 4 at 00:00 UTC. It uses a Merkle Tree structure and zk-SNARK technology for cryptographic verification, with the full ZKP computation taking roughly 50 to 60 hours.
