Breeze launches Quote AI Autofill to cut cargo insurance admin work
Breeze has launched Quote AI Autofill, an AI tool aimed at cutting manual administration for freight forwarders seeking cargo insurance coverage. Breeze says about 70% of cargo moves uninsured or underinsured, attributing the gap to outdated systems and repetitive processes that slow forwarders from including insurance as part of their standard workflow. The tool allows users to paste text or upload documents they already have, including emails, bills of lading, commercial invoices, booking confirmations, and screenshots. Breeze’s proprietary AI then fills quote fields such as commodity description, cargo value, load type, special conditions, booking reference, Incoterm, transport mode, origin, destination, and vessel, with every AI-completed field clearly marked and editable. No quote is submitted until the user reviews and approves. The launch aligns with Breeze’s broader push to embed marine insurance into freight operations, following comments from Breeze Chief Insurance Officer Patrizia Kern-Ferretti about clearer products and data for modern trade.
