Brixham fishing firm to build new plant as Paignton sale approved

Torbay Council's cabinet voted unanimously to sell 6.5 acres of land at a former brickworks and waste quarry in Claylands, Paignton, to Brixham Trawler Agents (BTA) as part of a broader industrial development. BTA, which provides commercial services to the Devon port's fishing fleet, will move some operations from Oxen Cove to the Claylands site, which adjoins the Investment Castings factory that opened there several years ago.
