Broadcom Rallies 6% on a Broadened Apple Partnership as AMD Gains 8%, Intel Rises 4%
Broadcom’s shares rose about 6% to $381 in early trading Monday after the company agreed to expand its custom-chip partnership with Apple through 2031. The update extends an existing relationship that already covers Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular radio-frequency components. Broadcom said Apple represents 20% of its annual revenue, a factor that helps anchor long-term demand and reduces concerns that Apple could shift away from Broadcom in its silicon roadmap. The market reaction also followed a recent pullback for Broadcom, which entered Monday down 25% over the prior month. Sector momentum lifted rivals as well, with AMD up 8% to $561 and Intel up 4% to $125. AMD’s rebound was supported by analyst target hikes tied to strong EPYC server-CPU demand, while Intel’s move was linked to reports about Apple discussing U.S. chip manufacturing, though analysts cautioned any impact may not arrive until late 2027.
