The applicants said they bought a stove in 2023 with an extended warranty and that the main burner failed after 11 months. The Brick argued the stove lacked an original serial number because an employee claimed the customers damaged or removed it during cleaning, and noted it refunded $314.94 for the warranty. The tribunal found no proof the serial number was removed and concluded the stove was not durable for a reasonable period, awarding $272 including tribunal fees.
