While she said the physical issues that have affected her—chronic pain, mobility problems, and needing wheelchairs for medical visits—haven’t improved, she added that doctors are now trying to understand what’s behind her symptoms and how the MS diagnosis came about. Applegate also said she’s been dealing with depression and job loss over the past six years.
