Could a data center be coming to this North Texas community? Here's what's proposed.
xCruzo Brief
Prosper, a North Texas town, is set to consider rezoning part of agricultural land along Parvin Road near FM 1385 to allow a planned data center development called Project Tomahawk. Town staff has recommended approval, and the planning and zoning commission will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Prosper Town Hall. The proposal would use about 20% of a roughly 37-acre lot and place the facility directly behind both a substation and a future commercial development. Plans include a “living screen” with added plantings and an eight-foot wall for noise reduction and screening near the rear. The agenda says traffic impacts would be low and the developer would handle required electrical upgrades.
