Countryside leisure site applies to hold events and serve alcohol
Countryside leisure site applies to hold events and serve alcohol reports a rural operator seeking to expand its visitor offer in Suffolk. The Cyder Farm at Cherry Tree Farm in Ilketshall St Lawrence, near Beccles, has submitted a premises licence application to East Suffolk Council to host activities throughout the week. The public notice says the request includes films and live and recorded music both indoors and outdoors, alongside the sale of alcohol on and off the premises. Proposed hours include live music daily from 12pm to 10pm, with films scheduled from 3pm to 10pm, and alcohol sales extending into the evening, with slightly earlier closing times on Sundays. The site, which has been restored since 2021 and now operates as a campsite, fishery and retreat, will be considered after residents respond. Submissions are due by July 13.
