Cyberpunk 2077' Rockets To Its Second-Highest Playercount Since Launch

Cyberpunk 2077 is surging to its second-highest Steam playercount since launch, driven by this week’s Update 2.5—its biggest jump since the Phantom Liberty expansion in October 2023. Steam concurrency hit a peak of 274,000 during Phantom Liberty’s release, and the game is now around 154,000 and climbing, surpassing the previous second-best mark set by the Edgerunners season 1 launch. The article links the lift to Update 2.5, Edgerunners season 2, and a timely sale. It notes the game’s earlier December 2020 launch reached 1.05 million concurrent users on Steam.
