Dem handlers lash out when cameraman confronts their boss about debate: 'No pictures'
Campaign staff for Amy Acton, Ohio’s Democratic candidate for governor, blocked a Republican cameraman from questioning her at an event in Harrison, Ohio last Saturday, prompting renewed criticism over Acton’s refusal to debate her rival, Vivek Ramaswamy. The confrontation showed Acton walking away as aides repeated “No pictures, no videos” and later “no pictures, no interviews.” Ramaswamy’s camp argued Acton hasn’t given a satisfactory explanation as both campaigns head into the final stretch. Acton previously declined debate invitations after Ramaswamy accepted one from CNN. Her campaign cited Republican attacks tied to her COVID response, past personal issues, and AI-generated ads. Ramaswamy responded by questioning her qualifications and faulting her for not taking voter questions, while also declining to engage on a debate stage.
