Detroit Lion Terrion Arnold had idea to lure victims for details on alleged theft, detective says

A Tampa police detective testified in court that Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold allegedly suggested luring three men to a Florida apartment to extract information about property he believed had been stolen. According to testimony, the alleged February plot involved accusations that the three men were assaulted and briefly kidnapped as retaliation, though police said there is no evidence the victims stole the property. Arnold, 23, is one of six charged and has denied involvement; he faces three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to kidnap, and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Prosecutors said Arnold believed $200,000 in property was taken from the Airbnb where he was staying, but prosecutors said there is no evidence to prove the victims were involved in the theft. Other defendants named include Boakai Hilton, Lyndell Hudson, Freddie Lee Hughes III, Christion Williams, Jasmine Randazzo and Arianna Del Valle. The detective described how contact began after a text message on Feb. 3 and how two armed men allegedly confronted a victim inside a bedroom closet.
