Divers identify vessel last seen in Devon 46 years ago
xCruzo Brief
Divers have identified the wreckage of a fishing vessel that disappeared at sea 46 years ago. The 25-meter (82-foot) Belgian ship, Z.592 Hosanna, vanished in February 1980 while traveling to the Netherlands from Plymouth, Devon. Researchers confirmed that a wreck located nine nautical miles (10.3 miles) off the coast of Dover, Kent, is the missing vessel after completing two dives. British wreck researcher Mark Lewis, of Mutiny Diving, said each dive is different but called this one “quite special” due to the time spent locating and confirming the identity. The report details the location, date, and verification process.
