Driver Fatally Shoots Kidnapped Victim in Trunk in Chino Hills

A police chase in the suburbs east of Los Angeles ended with an apparent execution, authorities said. After sheriff’s deputies stopped a car, the driver got out and shot a man who was reportedly in the trunk. Both the driver and the man in the trunk died. The abducted victim was identified as Shukur Aikebaer, 60, by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Friday. The driver was Zhengfeng Bo, 67, from Irvine, California, and the agency said he had a prior working relationship with Aikebaer. A third man, Jianquan Bo, 66, was arrested and is being held on murder and kidnapping charges. Investigators began after reports of gunshots and screaming around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on Monteverde Drive.
