Early Emmys ceremony could bring many trophies for 'The Pitt,' 'Hacks' and 'Pluribus'

An early Emmys ceremony on Sunday could stockpile trophies for “The Pitt,” “Hacks” and “Pluribus,” with more honors delivered eight days before the main show. The Television Academy will present well over 100 primetime Emmys in two weekends ceremonies at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, now rebranded as the first two nights of the 78th Emmy Awards. The combined event will air Sept. 12 on FXX and stream on Hulu the next day, while the main Sept. 14 primetime ceremony, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, airs live on NBC and streams on Peacock. “The Pitt” leads overall with 25 nominations, while “Hacks” has a record-tying 24 for its final season.
