Electric Wins Another $70 Million AI Data Center Power Deal From U.S. Big Tech

LS Electric secured another deal to supply high-voltage power-distribution equipment for North American AI data centers, signing a 106.4 billion won contract, about $70 million. The 38-kilovolt-class system will feed a North American AI data center project, with delivery scheduled from August to November under nondisclosure terms with the client. The order follows an existing relationship with a major U.S. tech customer, whose identity is not disclosed. Cumulatively, LS Electric’s North American big-tech data-center orders total roughly 1.2 trillion won (about $800 million) this year, a pace that already exceeds last year’s full-year total of 800 billion won.

That momentum is underpinned by a supply-chain bottleneck for critical power gear used in AI facilities, which require reliable equipment and timely delivery to support rapid growth. Industry observers note that the global need for 38-kV-class distribution gear remains tight, making repeat orders a clear signal of performance. LS Electric is leaning on its U.S. manufacturing footprint to win more work and position itself as a preferred partner for hyperscale facilities building out American campuses.
