Emerson launches DeltaV platform for AI data centres

Emerson has launched its DeltaV Automation Platform for Data Centres, designed for AI-focused facilities that must coordinate thermal, mechanical and electrical systems. The platform is meant to replace piecemeal monitoring tools and manual coordination with a single automation layer from the design stage onward. Emerson says it is built on its existing DeltaV Distributed Control System and DeltaV Programmable Logic Controllers, adding embedded AI tools for engineering workflows and integration with AI optimisation models. The company also claims the hardware/software split can let teams work in parallel, improving commissioning speed and delivery schedules, while giving operators earlier visibility into abnormal conditions.
