Falcons' NFC South Division Standings Change After SNF Vs. Ravens

Two weeks into the season, the Atlanta Falcons looked headed for trouble after starting 0–2 and losing both of their top two quarterbacks to injury. They still faced three straight primetime appearances—at the Packers (Week 3), vs. the Saints (Week 4), and at home against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football (Week 5). But with QB Michael Penix Jr. returning, Atlanta won back-to-back games by 20-plus points in Weeks 3 and 4. The Week 5 matchup was tighter: the Falcons led late, then lost in overtime after giving up a late regulation lead and a quick Ravens score in OT. The loss dropped Atlanta to second in the NFC South.
