Five USC Trojans Newcomers Who Appear Primed for Immediate Impact on Defense

USC’s 2026 defensive rebuild is getting multiple fresh faces, with coach Lincoln Riley pressing for a defense that can match his offense’s momentum. The Trojans hired former Big 12 defensive coordinator Gary Patterson as defensive coordinator this offseason, and also made key additions via recruiting and the transfer portal.
