FTSE 100 Live: Miners lead London rebound as blue chips recover 51 points

The FTSE 100 staged a rebound on Friday, rising 0.47% to 10,843.53 after recovering roughly 60% of Thursday’s losses. London’s blue chips were led by miners and precious-metals stocks, with Endeavour Mining up 3.06% to 4,884p and Fresnillo gaining 2.24% to 3,241p. Melrose Industries added 1.53% to 516.8p after setting up a compensation scheme of up to US$100 million for people and businesses affected by the temporary evacuation around its GKN Aerospace site in California. The FTSE 250 also edged higher to 24,926.99, while AIM slipped 0.24%.
