xCruzo Brief
Illinois’ average gasoline prices ticked up again after a week-long dip, according to GasBuddy’s weekly report released Monday. The state’s average was $4.88 per gallon, up 24 cents from the previous week. In Champaign-Urbana, the average rose to $4.60, up 15 cents. GasBuddy’s charts show the region hit $4.43 on Oct. 20 before climbing and leveling off over the weekend. Illinois averaged $4.64 on Oct. 20 before jumping 25 cents in three days and reaching $4.91, then easing slightly. Patrick De Haan attributed the movement to a fresh spike in the Great Lakes driven by a regional refinery issue that is starting to clear.
